Our multinational business partner, operating in the poultry industry, is looking for an Assistant Laboratory Manager.
Ensure laboratory operates efficiently by preparing internal working program, prioritizing tasks of technicians, and overseeing the workflow.
Participate in the preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and check applications are in full compliance with SOPs, protocols and quality management system.
Establish and implement a mechanism for checking functioning of laboratory equipment, ensuring proper use of equipment, preventing or detecting malfunctions, and maintenance plans.
Coordinate needs identification & purchasing processes for laboratory equipment, supplies and inventory.
Contribute to staff growth by supervising, delivering technical and scientific training/presentations, as well as bringing in in-company learning programs.
Ensure the laboratory’s activities comply with the Veterinary Diagnostic and Analysis Laboratories Regulation and assist in maintaining the laboratory protocol book in accordance with established procedures.
Ensure the effective implementation of the quality management system across all laboratory units, in coordination with the quality manager and relevant department heads.
Ensure adherence to safety rules in the laboratory and contribute to the implementation of necessary precautions.
In line with the business needs, technically support the business model decision by exclusions of tests and inclusion of analyses not covered by accreditation in the accreditation scope, in collaboration with the quality manager, while identifying new analyses, supporting the development of procedures, and enhancing testing capacity.
Evaluate, control, and review the results of tests conducted in the laboratory to ensure compliance.
Manage all tests and activities in the molecular, bacteriology, and serology units, and collaborate with these units within the overall workflow to improve processes.
In the absence of the Laboratory Manager, assume the Manager’s responsibilities and ensure the laboratory is managed in accordance with rules and regulations.
Prepare the monthly activity report and submit it to the relevant departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from university's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Possession of a veterinary specialization diploma or a doctoral-level academic career.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory.
Experience in molecular techniques is a plus.
Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Having knowledge of the poultry industry is a plus.
Having knowledge of the ISO 17025 standard is a plus.
