Job summary

A multinational agricultural company is seeking an Area Sales Manager to oversee sales activities and manage relationships with dealers in the Akdeniz Bölgesi region of Turkey. The ideal candidate will have a degree in agriculture and at least 5 years of experience in the AG industry. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop annual demand plans are essential for this role. Candidates must be willing to travel and report from a home office.

Job Description

Area Sales manager is primarily responsible for managing sales with an assigned portfolio of direct and indirect dealers, and driving the demand creation effort in the area for a range of seeds and inoculant. The position will be promoting, selling and supporting of seeds and inoculant products through the selected distribution partners.

As a Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for the sale of all Pioneer seeds and inoculant products to customers in assigned region.

The successful candidate must follow internal procedures, especially those related to the company's core values: high ethical standards, respectful people treatment, safety and environmental protection.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage sales activities for a selected portfolio of dealer: forecast demand, reach sales targets, supply and timely collect receivables
  • Regularly control sales situation, ordering and administrative process of sales. Provide high quality analysis to Country Sales Team Management
  • Conduct value in use analysis, implement marketing programs and contribute to product positioning and launching of new products through close collaboration with country sales manager, sales effectiveness manager and country marketing manager
  • Develop annual demand plan in concert with business and marketing plan within the area.
  • Awareness of local competition, analyze & interpret.
  • Provide competitive intelligence information to Country Sales Team Management
Job Qualifications
  • University Degree - agricultural area.
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical and/or sales experience working in the AG industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of agricultural practices in the given region
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships with growers, influencers and dealers.
  • Very high level of energy and strongly results oriented
  • Excellent team player
