Position Summary

The AML Manager is responsible for supporting day-to-day AML operations in Istanbul, with a focus on transaction monitoring, investigations, escalations, and suspicious transaction reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts and complex AML cases.
• Conduct detailed analysis of customer activity, transaction patterns, and potential financial crime risks.
• Perform EDD and support higher-risk customer reviews where required.
• Prepare clear and well-documented investigation findings and escalation recommendations.
• Support the preparation and review of STRs and other regulatory reporting.
• Escalate high-risk or suspicious cases to the MLRO in accordance with internal procedures.
• Conduct quality reviews of AML case handling and documentation where required.
• Identify gaps and opportunities to improve AML workflows, procedures, and operational efficiency.
• Provide subject-matter support and guidance to junior AML Analysts.
• Stay current on Turkish AML/CTF requirements, emerging typologies, and financial crime risks.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of AML operations experience, experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transaction monitoring systems and EDD/KYC processes.
• Familiarity with Turkish AML/CTF regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication (Turkish and English).
