Job summary

AVL Türkiye Araştırma ve Mühendislik seeks a researcher/engineer to develop and maintain vehicle dynamics simulation models, focusing on lateral and vertical dynamics, and to set up full-vehicle models for handling and ride performance.

You'll parameterize tire and suspension models, support DiL/HiL tests, analyze virtual maneuvers, and present findings to stakeholders while applying AI-based post-processing and continuous method improvements.

Qualifications

• MSc/PhD or equivalent engineering degree in mechanical, automotive engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics fundamentals, with emphasis on lateral and vertical dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle dynamics simulation tools: AVL VSM, CarMaker, Adams Car, VI-Grade.
• Experience with tire modeling and parameterization (MF-Tire, FTire, CDTire).
• Knowledge of suspension kinematics and compliance (K&C) and its influence on handling and ride.
• Familiarity with DiL simulation environments and real-time model requirements.
• Proficiency in data analysis and scripting (MATLAB/Simulink, Python).
• Fluency in English; German a plus.
• Self-driven, structured work style with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain vehicle dynamics simulation models focusing on lateral and vertical dynamics.
• Set up, calibrate, and validate full-vehicle models for handling and ride performance assessments.
• Model and parameterize suspension kinematics and compliance (K&C) and correlate with test data.
• Parameterize and validate tire models (MF-Tire, FTire, CDTire) for handling and ride applications.
• Support simulation model setup for DiL and HiL integration, commissioning, and testing.
• Prepare, execute, and analyze virtual test maneuvers with focus on vehicle handling and performance.
• Analyze results to derive actionable recommendations for suspension, chassis, and control development.
• Create technical documentation and present simulation findings to stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-based methods for post-processing and data analysis; contribute to tool-chain improvements.
