Job summary

The Morgan County Board of Commissioners is seeking a Program Assistant within the Cooperative Extension Department to support Agriculture, Natural Resources and related programs. The role includes coordinating events, maintaining records, and assisting with communications.

Qualifications

Specialized training in a related field (in addition to basic associate's degree skills).
1–2 years of related experience or completion of a relevant apprenticeship or internship.
Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
Ability to develop and implement programming and work effectively with youth, volunteers, community groups, and the public.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Georgia driver's license.

Responsibilities

Provide support for Agriculture, Natural Resources and other Cooperative Extension programs and services.
Coordinate educational and community events.
Maintain program records.
Work with volunteers and community partners.
Prepare flyers, social media content and other program communications.
Work with lab samples and on-farm communication.
