Accounting Executive
Job summary
A leading brand solutions company in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Executive to handle various accounting responsibilities including reconciliation of transactions, posting invoices, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Accountancy, at least 2 years of retail accounting experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role requires strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in related fields, ideally with retail accounting experience.
- Detail-oriented and hands-on in work deliverables.
- Good organizational skills and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile sales transactions and merchant statements.
- Post all receipts and invoices in the accounting system.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
Skills
Education
- Reconcile sales transactions (Accounting vs POS) for all stores
- Reconcile merchant statements, cash receipts and banks
- Post all receipts in the accounting system
- Issue & post manual debit notes/ invoices
- Submit monthly sales to landlords
- Ensure timely collections from wholesale customers
- Save all vendors' invoices in shared folder
- Record and verify vendors' invoices to be approved by respective approvers
- Post vendors' invoices in accounting system
- Preparation of payments
- Check & verify staff reimbursements & petty cash
- Post all payments in accounting system
- Reconcile vendors' SOA against our records
- Post all IC invoices
- Prepare & post IC payments
- Reconcile IC balances & prepare monthly IC summary
- Prepare standard monthly prepaid expenses & accruals
- Post payroll JV
- Update monthly audit schedules
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
- Download monthly bank statements
- Liaise with merchants on payment types & terminals set up (new stores or additions)
- Collect cash proceeds from stores for banking in twice a month
- Support in annual audits and tax filings
- Any other duties as assigned
- Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification
- 2 years of experiences in related fields, ideally with experiences in RETAIL accounting. More experienced applicants will be considered as Senior Accounting Executive
- A team player with good interpersonal & organizations skills
- Willing to learn
- Detail-oriented and be hands-on in work deliverables to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
