We are seeking an experienced Line Leader to oversee daily production operations, ensure on-time delivery of aerospace components, and maintain strict quality/safety standards. You will lead a team of machinists/operators in a fast-paced CNC machining or assembly environment.
- Production Leadership
- Supervise 10-15 production operators on your shift, ensuring on-time delivery of aerospace parts.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow through CNC machining cells or assembly lines.
- Meet hourly/daily production targets while maintaining AS9100 quality standards.
- Quality & Process Compliance
- Conduct first‑piece inspections and in‑process quality checks.
- Enforce documented work instructions and process control plans.
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain 5S standards and ensure 100% PPE compliance.
- Identify opportunities for Lean Manufacturing improvements (waste reduction, cycle time optimization).
- Report near‑misses and lead safety briefings.
- Team Development
- Train new hires on aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Conduct performance feedback sessions.
- Foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- High school diploma/GED required (Technical certification preferred).
- 3+ years aerospace/manufacturing experience with 1+ years in leadership.
- Working knowledge of:
- CNC machining OR aerospace assembly processes.
- GD&T and blueprint reading.
- AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills using PDCA or A3 methodologies.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for full shifts.
