RESPONSIBILITIES
About The Job

The Youth Worker Associate is part of a care team and is responsible for engaging residents in holistic and meaningful activities, providing residents with direction, guidance and supervision in daily activities and acting as a positive role model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop case and/or care plans for youths
  • Implement assessment frameworks and approaches for casework and group work
  • Conduct casework interventions
  • Develop group work processes and specialised intervention strategies
  • Facilitate delivery of group work and support groups
  • Organise crisis management team with partner organisations and agencies in consultation with senior professionals
  • Deliver programmes independently
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programmes
  • Assess the needs of residents based on information and feedback collated from multiple stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve common goals
  • Manage volunteers in the delivery of programmes and interventions
  • Support mentoring of residents
  • Identify personal and professional development goals and agenda for supervision
  • Implement standards of care, organisational safety and health policies, procedures and programmes
  • Deploy resources to safeguard and promote the interests of residents
QUALIFICATIONS

At least a diploma, preferably in Youth Work, Social Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, Events Management, Community Development, Outdoor and Adventure Learning (Enrolled Nurse, Student Care Teachers or any other relevant experiences working with children and youth are welcome to apply)

Working Hours

Under normal circumstances the hours of duty will be as follows:

Morning Shift : 7.00am - 4.00pm

Afternoon Shift : 1.00pm - 10.00pm

Night Shift : 10.00pm - 7.00am

A work schedule will be planned by the Manager for shifts
