Job summary

A staffing agency in Singapore is seeking a Youth Care Worker to provide trauma-informed care and supervision to female adolescents facing challenges. This role involves addressing physical, emotional, and social needs, and requires experience working with youth at-risk. Ideal candidates will demonstrate mentoring abilities and be willing to work on a rotating shift basis. Competitive salary is offered between $2,200 to $3,100.

  • Carry out daily operational duties and supervise residents.

  • Address residents' physical, emotional, spiritual, etc., needs.

Youth Care Worker (Rotating Shift) - 0210
  • Working Days: 5 days/week – 44 hrs (3 shifts)
  • Salary: $2,200 to $3,100

The Youth Care Worker is responsible with delivering trauma-informed care, supervision, and management to female adolescents who have faced abuse or neglect. Focused on enhancing wellness and quality of life, the Youth Care Worker ensures that the residents' basic personal, physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs are comprehensively addressed.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out the daily operational duties and supervise residents in their regular activities
  • Assist residents with any difficulties related to day-to-day issues and ensure their welfare and safety
  • Promote discipline among the residents and be a mentor/role model to them
  • Assess, respond and handle crises or conflicts
  • Carry out individual therapeutic interventions based on care plans by treatment team
  • Participate in providing physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs of residents
Requirements
  • With experience in working with youth at-risk
  • With basic processing and counselling skills
  • With knowledge of common issues and disorders that appears in trauma and abuse
  • Willing to work on 3-shift rotations and over weekend/Public Holidays
