Job summary

A human resources consultancy in Singapore is seeking 7 Youth Care Workers to provide trauma-informed care and supervision to female adolescents. Candidates should have experience working with at-risk youth, possess basic counselling skills, and be willing to work on rotating shifts. This role focuses on addressing the residents' personal, emotional, and social needs in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in support roles focusing on youth with complex trauma.
  • Ability to respond effectively to crises and conflicts.
  • Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.

  • Supervise daily activities and ensure resident welfare.
  • Promote discipline and act as a mentor.

Job description

Position: Youth Care Worker x7

  • Working Days: 5 days/week 44 hrs (3 shifts)
  • Salary: $2,200 to $3,100
  • Potong Pasir

The Youth Care Worker is responsible with delivering trauma-informed care, supervision, and management to female adolescents who have faced abuse or neglect. Focused on enhancing wellness and quality of life, the Youth Care Worker ensures that the residents' basic personal, physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs are comprehensively addressed.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out the daily operational duties and supervise residents in their regular activities
  • Assist residents with any difficulties related to day-to-day issues and ensure their welfare and safety
  • Promote discipline among the residents and be a mentor/role model to them
  • Assess, respond and handle crises or conflicts
  • Carry out individual therapeutic interventions based on care plans by treatment team
  • Participate in providing physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs of residents
Requirement

Youth Mentors are required to work with young beneficiaries with complex trauma

  • With experience in working with youth at-risk
  • With basic processing and counselling skills
  • With knowledge of common issues and disorders that appears in trauma and abuse
  • Willing to work on 3-shift rotations and over weekend/Public Holidays
