Location: Singapore (overseeing yachts based in Europe and Thailand/ Malaysia)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Luxury Yacht / Ship Manager to take full-time responsibility for managing two yachts (commercial/ private), primarily located in Europe and Thailand. The role is based in Singapore, overseeing daily yacht operations, safety, and crew matters, managing everything from maintenance and budgeting to charter sales and regulatory compliance for the yacht and its owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of yachts in Europe and Thailand/ Malaysia.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, flag state rules, and classification requirements.
  • Coordinate refits, dry-docking, and technical projects with shipyards in Europe and Asia.
  • Support planning and administration for charter seasons in Europe and Thailand.
  • Coordinate with charter brokers, central agencies, and captains to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor charter budgets, contracts, and regulatory compliance for commercial activities.
  • Manage global procurement of parts, provisions, and technical supplies.
  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with vendors, shipyards, and service providers in Europe and Asia.
  • Ensure efficient, transparent purchasing and logistics across multiple regions.
Crew & Operational Support
  • Liaise with captains on crew scheduling, contracts, and payroll administration.
  • Monitor crew performance and ensure adherence to safety and service standards.
  • Provide operational support during owner trips and charter seasons.
  • Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for yacht operations and charters.
  • Oversee cost tracking, invoice approval, and expense reporting.
  • Maintain all operational, safety, and compliance documentation.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as the primary point of contact for yacht owners and their representatives.
  • Provide clear and timely reporting on yacht status, commercial performance, and financial matters.
  • Coordinate with brokers, insurance providers, and legal teams as required.
  • Willingness to travel as may require on-site presence.
Requirements
Education & Certification
  • Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering or related discipline.
  • STCW / ISM / ISPS knowledge; relevant professional certifications preferred.
Experience
  • 10 years in luxury yacht/ ship management, technical operations.
  • Direct experience with yachts operating on a dual private/charter model.
  • Managing international operations (Europe & Asia preferred).
  • Strong experience in procurement, vendor negotiations, and budget management.
