Job description
Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure that the project complies with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, WSH (Construction) Regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  2. Develop and maintain the Site Safety and Health Plan (SHP).
  3. Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  4. Conduct regular reviews and updates of risk assessments, safe work procedures (SWPs), and permit-to-work systems.
  5. Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and ensure all workers are trained and certified for their respective tasks.
  6. Maintain safety records, risk assessments, and inspection reports; prepare monthly WSH reports for management and clients.
  7. Lead investigations of accidents and near misses, prepare reports, and implement preventive measures.
  8. Work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure effective safety coordination and promote safety culture on site.
  9. Develop and execute the site’s Emergency Response Plan (ERP), conduct drills, and ensure readiness of all emergency equipment.
Requirements
  1. Must be a Registered WSH Officer with MOM, Singapore.
  2. Valid MOM-recognized WSHO License.
  3. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role in construction; experience in main contractor projects is preferred.
  4. Strong knowledge of WSH Act, Risk Management Code of Practice, and other related regulations.
  5. Able to handle emergency and high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
  6. Candidates with ECO and/or ECMO certificate and registration with NEA will be preferred.
