Job summary

A construction safety company in Singapore is seeking a Fire Safety Manager to oversee workplace safety and health operations. Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for WSH for the building premises. Assist in planning, coordinating and overseeing activities related to fire-safety, emergency response, first-aid and business continuity.
  • Conduct investigations of WSH infringements and workplace accidents, and recommend remedial actions. Conduct WSH induction, safety-related training and briefing for client, sub-contractors and staff.
  • Audit equipment, machineries and assets regularly to ensure they are in good working condition and equipped with safety protection.
  • Assist with the fire safety report, incident reports for fire incidents or related emergencies for the buildings.
  • Reviewing, monitoring, and putting in place measures to reduce any risky fire hazards for the premises.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Client / Authority on fire or other related matters when requested.
  • Observe and comply with prevailing regulations relating to the Fire Safety Act.
  • Together with the client, conduct fire safety training for staff.
  • Carry out regular building inspection to address and rectify any non-compliance of fire safety. Investigate, analyse, report and suggest appropriate prevention measures in the event of incidents/accidents occurring on site.
  • Prepare and conduct routine inspections at the various premises at client site in compliance with WSH/EHS related acts.
  • Assess and analyze potential risks and make recommendations when new/second-hand equipment and machineries are purchased for use.
  • Ensure that risk assessments for all work activities are conducted and briefed, and propose recommendations and review them when necessary.
  • Assist HQ Safety Department to liaise with MOM on site WSH issues.
  • Advising the Facilities Management Team on WSH and Fire safety related matters.
  • Assist in any other WSH and Fire Safety Manager job duties as per assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Building / Workplace Safety & Health / Environment or any equivalent.
  • Registered Fire Safety Manager.
  • At least 3 years of Fire Safety Manager experience and 2 years of workplace safety working experience in Singapore.
  • Must be registered WSH Officer with MOM. Good knowledge in emergency preparedness, mitigation and response.
  • Good team player and good in communication skills.
Work Days & Location

5.5 Work Days per Week, Location: Punggol
