Job summary
A leading design firm in Singapore is seeking a dedicated health and safety professional to oversee safety, health, and environmental matters across various project sites. Responsibilities include managing compliance with regulations, supervising a team, and fostering a strong safety culture within the organization. A degree in Engineering or Environmental Health and Safety and at least 6 years of relevant experience are required. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Qualifications
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental field.
- Good communication & writing skills.

- Responsible for all safety, health and environmental issues on various project sites.
- Organize safety & health training and promotional activities.
- Supervise and lead a team of Workplace Safety Health personnel.
- Manage a variety of environmental, health and safety activities.
- Monitor environmental performance and identify risks.

Job description
- Responsible for all safety, health and environmental issues on various project sites within the company.
- Organize safety & health training and promotional activities, identifying hazards and advice control measures.
- Supervise and lead a team of Workplace Safety Health personnel and interface with operational staff on safety matters.
- Manage a variety of environmental, health and safety (EHS) activities to ensure that the organization complies with external EHS regulations and standards as well as internal environmental policies and EHS management systems
- Monitor environmental performance and identifying risks or areas for improvement, conducting safety & health audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment practices and working conditions.
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of HSE professionals to ensure that the organization’s HSE strategies is implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the company complies with all relevant regulations, laws and standards.
- Initiate investigation into all accidents or incidents or dangerous occurrences and recommend corrective or preventive measures to prevent recurrences.
- Ensure that the environmental issues such as drainage, noise monitoring, pollution control and pest control are implemented in accordance with the statutory requirements and advise site staff accordingly.
- Advocate and inculcate a strong safety culture within the company.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or Environmental, Health and Safety or other relevant subjects.
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental field.
- Good knowledge of Government Regulations relating to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental areas.
- Familiar with OSH/ ISO documentation.
- Good communication & writing skills is required
