Job summary

A construction company in Singapore is seeking a Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with safety regulations on site. Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project safety plans.
2. Identify unsafe practices or conditions and report them for immediate rectification.
3. Assist in implementing and monitoring Risk Assessment (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).
4. Assist the WSH Officer in enforcing site safety rules, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
5. Help facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site safety briefings.
6. Maintain safety records such as inspection checklists, incident reports, and permit-to-work documents.
7. Monitor and update safety notice boards and safety signages on site.
8. Support the coordination of safety training, including site inductions for new workers.
9. Ensure workers are aware of emergency procedures and use of PPE.
10. Respond to minor incidents and near-misses; escalate serious issues to the WSH Officer or Manager.
11. Assist in accident and incident investigations.

Requirements

1. Hold an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).
2. Building Construction Safety Supervisors Certificate
3. 1–3 years of experience in safety coordination, in construction
4. Ability to work under pressures in a fast-paced environment
5. Experience in HDB/JTC/Building & Commercial/Mix Development will be advantageous.
