Job Description
Role Purpose

The Workspace Engineer provides responsive, high-quality desk-side and remote technology support for the Asia Pacific user community, including Front Office, Back Office, executives, support functions and Technology teams. The role owns incidents and service requests through resolution, protects the user experience in a time-sensitive environment, and contributes to operational resilience, documentation, automation and continuous improvement.

Key accountabilities
  • End-user support: Receive, assess, prioritize and resolve incidents and service requests through approved channels, using remote support or on-site desk-side assistance as appropriate.

  • Trading floor and business support: Support Front Office and Back Office users and relevant desktop applications, including Bloomberg, Reuters/LSEG, Tradeweb, ICAP and trader-telephony solutions, where applicable.

  • Incident ownership and escalation: Maintain clear ownership, set realistic expectations, communicate progress, restore service within agreed targets, and engage internal engineering, application teams and vendors for advanced fault analysis.

  • Endpoint lifecycle: Install, configure, image, deploy, maintain, upgrade and recover laptops, desktops, monitors, docks, printers, mobile devices and peripherals, including moves, adds and changes.

  • Modern workplace platforms: Support Windows 11, Microsoft 365 Apps, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, browsers, collaboration tools, corporate mobile devices and approved BYOD services.

  • Workplace infrastructure: Troubleshoot network printing, Citrix/VDI, remote-access services, Aruba remote-access points and related endpoint connectivity within the team’s support scope.

  • Service operations: Record accurate work notes, troubleshooting evidence, categorization, resolution details and asset changes in ServiceNow, while following incident, request, change, problem and knowledge-management practices.

  • Stakeholder partnership: Build trusted relationships with business users, executives, technical teams and vendors; act as a Workspace point of contact and provide a practical gateway to other Technology teams.

  • Documentation and knowledge: Create and maintain support procedures, troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles and SharePoint learning content that are clear, reusable and audit-ready.

  • Projects and improvement: Represent Workspace Support in initiatives and deployments, identify repetitive work suitable for automation, and contribute to scripts, testing, process controls and measurable service improvements.

  • Operational readiness: Support inventory, asset lifecycle, business continuity, technology refreshes, office changes, audit evidence and other regional operational activities as assigned.

Required experience and capabilities
  • Approximately 5 years or more of hands-on desktop, workspace or end-user computing support experience in a corporate environment. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365 applications, hardware, printers, peripherals, mobile devices, connectivity and user-profile issues.

  • Experience supporting a high-volume, time-sensitive environment and managing several competing incidents or requests without losing ownership or quality.

  • Working knowledge of enterprise endpoint deployment and management tools, such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Intune or equivalent solutions.

  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or a comparable IT service-management platform, with disciplined ticket updates and documentation.

  • Clear written and verbal communication, strong customer-service judgement, and confidence in supporting senior stakeholders and users under pressure.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a global, follow-the-sun support model.

  • Ability to handle company information, user data, access and equipment in line with security, privacy, risk and record-keeping requirements.

Preferred qualifications and experience
  • Trading-floor or financial-services technology support experience.

  • Exposure to Bloomberg, Reuters/LSEG, Tradeweb, ICAP, IPC or other market-data and trader-voice platforms.

  • Experience with Citrix, VDI, remote-access technologies, Aruba RAPs, network troubleshooting and enterprise printing.

  • ITIL knowledge or certification, and experience contributing to incident reviews, problem management or continual service improvement.

  • PowerShell or other scripting experience used for safe support automation, data collection or quality checks.

  • Experience coaching peers, sharing subject-matter updates, coordinating small workstreams or providing technical leadership during incidents.

Working arrangements
  • This role participates in a rostered 9-hour shift to support business coverage. Shift times may include approximately 4:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., subject to operational requirements.

  • Occasional evening, weekend, overtime and after-hours on-call support may be required for incidents, office moves, technology changes, maintenance and project work.

  • Any work-from-home arrangement is subject to successful onboarding and knowledge transfer, role requirements and business discretion.

Success in the role
  • Users receive courteous, timely and effective support with clear communication and reliable follow-through.

  • Incidents, requests, escalations and asset updates are accurately recorded and progressed to resolution.

  • Repeat issues are reduced through quality documentation, root-cause thinking, knowledge sharing and automation.

  • Workspace changes and projects are delivered safely, with appropriate testing, stakeholder coordination and evidence.
