Workshop Manager (Construction)

Our client is a construction company. They are currently seeking for Workshop Manager (Construction) to lead workshop operations and inventory management team.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the workshop and store, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Supervise and lead a multidisciplinary team of technicians, electricians, mechanics, welders, fabricators, and store personnel.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and servicing of construction machinery and equipment.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including parts tracking, stock replenishment, and procurement coordination.
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely availability and dispatch of equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Monitor workshop performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize operational efficiency.
Job Requirement
  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity, preferably in the Construction Industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management, spare parts control, and safety regulations.
  • Experience in construction equipment maintenance is an advantage.
