Job summary

JOB HARBOUR PTE. LTD.

in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety Officer cum ECO to lead the site's WSH management system in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and related regulations. You will advise project management on WSH matters, perform regular inspections and risk assessments, conduct MSRA reviews, implement EMP and environmental monitoring, and coordinate with MOM, NEA, consultants, and authorities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, or related discipline.
• Registered Safety Officer.
• Registered ECO Officer.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site WSH management system in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and subsidiary regulations.
• Advise project management on WSH matters and risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Actively conduct MSRA review and recommend appropriate control measures to mitigate risks on site.
• Identify areas for improvement and monitor implementation progress of recommended measures via site inspections and engagement with different work teams.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Conduct WSH training, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings.
• Coordinate with MOM officers, safety auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Monitor safety performance indicators and prepare WSH reports.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response drills.
• Implement and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
• Conduct environmental inspections and monitoring.
• Manage environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with NEA, consultants, and authorities on environmental matters.
• Promote environmentally responsible work practices among workers and subcontractors
