We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented WSH Officer to support our Group’s safety strategy and ensure strong WSH compliance across all projects. This is a hands‑on role where you will work closely with the WSH Manager to drive safe work practices, strengthen our Safety Management System (SMS), and build a proactive safety culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce WSH policies in accordance with company standards, MOM regulations, and recognised industry practices.
- Keep safety procedures updated to meet regulatory and audit requirements (OSHA, Environmental, ISO, client audits).
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including risk assessments, incident reports, permits, and statutory submissions.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and non‑compliance.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are carried out promptly.
- Check equipment, machinery, tools, and PPE to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Support the implementation and continual improvement of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
- Assist in preparing and reviewing risk assessments (RA), safe work procedures (SWP), and permit‑to‑work (PTW) systems.
- Identify and mitigate workplace risks arising from activities, processes, and surrounding conditions.
- Conduct incident investigations including fact‑finding, evidence collection, and root cause analysis.
- Prepare investigation reports and track follow‑up actions.
- Ensure timely submission of incident reports to relevant authorities.
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, induction training, and refresher programmes.
- Promote a strong and proactive safety culture, encourage reporting of unsafe acts/near‑misses, and engage workers and subcontractors on safe practices.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of WSH Act, regulations, and industry safety standards.
- Hands‑on experience in site inspections, RA, incident investigation, and safety documentation.
- Good communication and engagement skills, with the ability to work with operational teams, subcontractors, and management.
- Proactive, responsible, and committed to creating a safe working environment for everyone.
