A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for a full-time Workplace Safety & Health Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health, valid MOM registration, and preferably 2-3 years of experience in construction projects. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and self-motivation are essential for success in this role.
Full time on site WSH Officer for maintenance project of marine structure
Work with project team members to plan, implement and maintain effective WSHE related plans
Review and upkeep safety documentation (Safety & Health Management System, Safe Work Procedure, Risk Assessment, etc)
Conduct daily tools box meeting, safety inspection, monthly safety committee meetings and prepare safety reports as well as recommend measures for improvement for safety issues
Attend progress meeting together with project management team members
Conduct accident / incident investigations and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Evaluate and identify WSH non‑compliance, unsafe work conditions and practices and recommend improvement measures
Enforce safety legislation and in‑house safety rules and regulations
Ensure supervisors and workers are following safe work procedures compliance
Ensure safe working environment in accordance with the WSH Act and Regulations and the requirement under the construction contract
Any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned by management
Job Requirements:
Attain at least Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health / Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) Training Course conducted by MOM Accredited Training Providers or equivalent
Valid registration with MOM (WSH Officer) and IES/ACES (ECMO)
Experience in maintenance works for marine structure will be added advantage
Preferably 2~3 years’ experience in construction projects in Singapore
Good communication and interpersonal skills and good command of English in speaking and writing
Willing to learn new skills and undergo job redesign training if assigned by the Company
Self‑motivated and able to work independently
