Job summary

A leading safety solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing safety practices, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe work environment. The ideal candidate has a WSQ Diploma in Workplace Safety, strong communication skills, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Cleanroom experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in workplace safety and health.
  • Self-starter able to work independently and within a team.
  • Cleanroom experience preferred, but not required.

Job description
Job Description & Major Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring occupational safety, health, and security at the workplace and site(s)
  • Oversee safety practices and execute SHS activities to ensure site compliance with legal regulations
  • Includes construction safety rules, cleanroom safety protocols, and other applicable standards
  • Promote a safe work environment across all operations
  • Assist the Company with Environmental, Health & Security (EHS) tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Daily EHS reports
    • Safety inspections
    • Daily safety meetings
    • Execution of all EHS initiatives at the sites
  • Ensure all information gathered from the site EHS initiatives is shared with the Company
  • Attend to customer and main contractor safety personnel as required
  • Be onsite to supervise and monitor safe operation of Field Service Operations (FSO) & Factory Support Engineers’ activities in accordance with site requirements and protocols
  • Carry out other instructions from superiors as required for business operations
Desired Qualifications / Requirements / Competencies
  • Completed WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (Level C)
  • Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower
  • Other certification related to safety and health is an added advantage
  • Minimum 2 or 3 years of relevant experience
  • Able to work independent as well as a good team”

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills including presentation skills, organization skills and attention to details
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision
