Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Safety Officer to develop and oversee the company's Safety Program. The ideal candidate must be a registered WSHO with at least 4 years of experience and strong knowledge of safety regulations. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections and fostering a safety culture within the workplace.

Qualifications

  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
  • Strong knowledge of WSHE legislation and regulations.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a WSHO in Singapore.

Job description

Develop, implement, and oversee the company's Safety Program to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and company policies.

Ensure all work practices adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices.

Provide expert advice on work plans, risk assessments, and safe work procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Identify potential safety hazards, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions.

Lead and mentor colleagues to foster a strong safety culture in the workplace.

Conduct daily safety inspections and compile all relevant reports and records.

Prepare and submit weekly safety reports as required by management and clients.

Actively participate in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 implementation and audits.

Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the MOM.

Strong knowledge of WSHE (Workplace Safety, Health, and Environment) legislation and regulations (WSH Act, environmental requirements).

Diploma or higher in Building, Civil, or Structural Engineering.

Minimum 4 years of experience as a WSHO in Singapore.

Must be in good health, proactive and must be committed to workplace safety.

Experience in HDB BTO projects is an added advantage.
