Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to develop and implement safety programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate must have at least 4 years of experience and a diploma in a relevant engineering field. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections and mentoring staff to promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a WSHO in Singapore.
  • Experience in HDB BTO projects is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the company's Safety Program.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and compile reports.
  • Provide expert advice on safety procedures.

Job Description & Requirements
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the company's Safety Program to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and company policies.
  • Ensure all work practices adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert advice on work plans, risk assessments, and safe work procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Identify potential safety hazards, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and mentor colleagues to foster a strong safety culture in the workplace.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and compile all relevant reports and records.
  • Prepare and submit weekly safety reports as required by management and clients.
  • Actively participate in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 implementation and audits.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Requirements
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the MOM.
  • Strong knowledge of WSHE (Workplace Safety, Health, and Environment) legislation and regulations (WSH Act, environmental requirements).
  • Diploma or higher in Building, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a WSHO in Singapore.
  • Must be in good health, proactive and must be committed to workplace safety.
  • Experience in HDB BTO projects is an added advantage.
