Job summary

A leading construction joint venture in Singapore seeks a Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer to manage safety compliance and risk assessments for tunneling projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of safety regulations. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the capability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a WSH role.
  • Mandatory experience in tunneling projects.
  • Prior experience with Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects is a must.

  • Provide Workplace Safety & Health enforcement support.
  • Identify and assess risks from workplace processes.

Job Description & Requirements:
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in WSH role.
  • Mandatory experience in tunnelling projects.
  • Prior experience with Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects is required.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 45001.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in digital safety initiatives is an advantage.
  • Provide Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) enforcement support.
  • Identify and assess foreseeable risks arising from workplace or work processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA).
  • Advise on work plans, risk assessments and safe work procedures.
  • Recommend and implement practical measures to eliminate foreseeable risks.
  • Inspect and examine machinery, equipment, plant, and workplace installations.
  • Organize safety and health awareness programs for the site.
  • Conduct site safety and health audits, inspections, and meetings.
  • Prepare hazard analysis reports and safety management programs.
  • Maintain and compile safety reports, records, and documents.
  • Implement digitalization efforts, including preparations of Activity-Based Safety Improvement System (ABSIS) and training videos.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the WSH Manager.
