Job description

Responsibilities

• Liaise closely with the Senior Manager (EHS) and Head of Project to develop, implement, maintain, and improve the WSH Management System and site safety culture.
• Lead daily toolbox meetings, safety briefings, safety inspections, safety training, and other initiatives to ensure a safe work environment at the project site.
• Build and maintain good rapport with government agencies on matters relating to the health and safety of site personnel and workers.
• Responsible for accident and incident reporting, including investigations of near misses and industrial diseases.
• Identify environmental issues and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Support environmental compliance activities and ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required under relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
• 5 years of relevant working experience in a construction firm.
• Possession of Earth Control Measure Officer (ECMO) qualification will be an added advantage.
