Job summary

A construction company in Singapore is seeking a Safety Supervisor to ensure compliance with safety regulations on site. The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of experience in construction safety supervision, preferably in civil works, and is registered with the Ministry of Manpower. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, reviewing risk assessments, and managing safety compliance. A local driving license is preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• In-charge of all matters relating to safety aspects of site management to ensure that all work activities are carried out in compliance with the Workplace, Safety and Health and Environmental Management Regulations.
• Review all the risk assessments and method statements for the project.
• Follow up on safety and emergency plans, incident reporting systems, conduct safety briefings, carry out daily checks together to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and Regulations, etc.
• Conduct regular safety inspections at worksite, so as to rectify any unsafe practices with solutions.
• Attend regular meetings with project team/ client and brief on safety related matters.
• Prepare safety inspection reports per project requirements

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in construction safety supervision, preferably in civil/underground, pipejacking and/or pipelaying works
• Able to take up roles like ECO, ECMO, confined space assessor, earthwork supervisor, lifting supervisor, will be an advantage.
• Registered with the Ministry of Manpower.
• Possess local Class 2/3 driving license preffered
• Good understanding of local WSH legislation and industry best practices
