Qualifications

  • MOM Singapore Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer.

  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).
  • Willingness to travel to various sites.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on safety measures at the site.
  • Inspect the site for safety risks.
  • Discuss findings with responsible persons.
  • Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor implementation of corrective actions.
  • Organize safety training and activities.
  • Act as Secretary for the Safety Committee.
  • Keep safety records up-to-date.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Advise the occupier, Project Manager or other person in charge of the Site on the measures to be taken in the interest of safety and health of the persons employed therein.
  • With the approval of such occupier, General Manager or person implements such measures.
  • Inspect the site personally to determine whether or not there is any machinery, plants, equipment, appliance or any description of manual labor used in the Site that is of such a nature that is liable to cause risk of bodily harm to any person working or employed in the Site.
  • Discuss the findings of your inspection with the occupier or Factory Manager, Project Manager and Safety Supervisor who is in charge of the machinery, plant, equipment, and appliance.
  • Investigate into any accident or any disease that took place within the Site/Factory and recommend corrective action need to be taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitoring of corrective action implementation.
  • Organize training, talk, competitions, contest and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the persons employed on the Site so as to establish a safe and healthy working condition therein.
  • Act as Secretary to the Safety Committee established and assist the Committee Chairman in directing the functions of the Site Safety Committee.
  • In the absence of the Chairman, preside at all meetings of the Site Safety Committee.
  • Keep up-to-date all necessary records relating to safety on the Site.
  • Discharge your responsibilities as stated in the Act.
