Job description
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop strategies and provide guidance on accident prevention, safe work practices, and compliance with legal safety and health requirements.
  • Implement and oversee Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) initiatives and programs.
  • Monitor and ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and regulations by all onsite workers.
  • Lead workplace WSH communications and effectively communicate with all organizational levels.
  • Proactively identify potential gaps/hazards and anticipate workplace safety and health issues. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to discuss and implement preventive and corrective actions.
  • Organize and perform the duty of the secretary of safety committee meetings; conduct safety audits for management reports.
  • Conduct safety training and drills to maintain high safety awareness and emergency preparedness.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigations to identify root causes and implement effective measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Lead and manage a team of safety personnel, fostering a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement across all operations.
  • Maintain and uphold meticulous safety documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate effective safety management practices.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by reporting officer.
Requirements
  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in building or civil construction industry, preferably with experience in HDB/LTA projects.
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Environmental, Health, Safety) or equivalent.
  • MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
  • NEA Registered Environmental Control Officer.
  • Proficient understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
