Job summary
A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Workplace Safety & Health Officer to oversee project safety and health protocols. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience and registration with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Successful candidates will conduct safety inspections, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).
- Registered with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.
- Experience in HDB Home Improvement Programme (HIP) projects preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess risk impact of project activities.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and compile reports.

Responsibilities
- To be able to effectively assess risk impact of project activities and issue Safety Stand Down when deemed necessary.
- Dealing with authorities, staffs, client’s representatives, public, neighbours and other interested parties on matters related to safety & health.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and compile all relevant reports and records.
- Conduct regular inspection and see to it that person responsible for the NC recorded or raised by interested parties are informed to perform corrective actions with photos evidence of closure.
- Conduct accident / incident investigations and recommendations on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of all corrective actions taken
- Ensure reporting of incident comply with legal requirement.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.
- Candidates with prior experience in HDB Home Improvement Programme (HIP) projects will be preferred.
