Job summary

A leading engineering and construction company in Singapore is looking for a HSE Officer to assist in administering the HSE Policy on site and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards, and promote HSE culture while supervising workers. A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction and an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health are required. Transport is provided for the project located at Jurong Island.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in construction projects.
• Familiar with WSH requirements in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of HSE procedures, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the WSHO to administer HSE Policy on site
• Conduct daily site inspection, field observation and participate in safety tool-box meetings
• Identify HSE hazards, recommend and implement control measures
• Coordinate HSE management system with legal compliance
• Assist in implementing JSA
• Investigate and report HSE related incidents
• Coordinate implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans
• Measure, monitor and report HSE performance of project
• Promote HSE culture development
• Facilitate effective communication and engagement at the project site
• Conduct site HSE induction for new employees
• Organise and conduct in-house HSE training
• Any other duties to assigned from time to time

Pre-requisites:

• Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience in construction projects
• Familiar with WSH requirements in Singapore
• Strong knowledge of HSE procedures, rules and regulations
• Ability to work independently and supervise workers
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint presentation
• Project Location: Jurong Island (Transport is provided from designated pick-up points)
