Job summary
A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Safety Officer to enforce safety management systems and conduct risk assessments. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety Management and has at least 5 years of experience, including in LTA Rail projects. Responsibilities include organizing Safety Committee meetings and preparing environmental control programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building & construction.
- Experience in LTA Rail projects is an advantage.
- Must be registered WSHO with a valid license.
Responsibilities
- Enforce the Safety Management System for employee safety.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments.
- Organize and report on Safety Committee meetings.
- Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare the Site Environmental Control Programme.

Responsibilities
- Enforcement of the implemented Safety Management System for the purpose of ensuring the safety of all staff and workers in the workplace/projects
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and follow‑up actions to maintain high safety standards and compliance with the Company’s ISO & OSHAS policies
- Conduct monthly Safety Committee meetings and put up safety reports, including safety issues
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and recommendations on corrective action to prevent recurrence
- Provide the Safety and Health Committees with the tools, resources and support enabling them to function effectively
- Prepare and submit the Site Environmental Control Programme of the construction site before work commences on the worksite
- Provide and conduct Safety training for all new employees and workers
- Manage safety violations and award programs
- Any other duties that are assigned by a superior.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety Management (including fire & safety management).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building & construction, and experience in LTA Rail projects with hands‑on in required submission matters will be added advantage.
- Must be registered WSHO with a valid license with MOM.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with people of all levels.
