Responsibilities
- Assess routine and non-routine work processes to establish scope of WSH risks by work area.
 
- Assess the established WSH policy and objectives.
 
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high performance.
 
- Communicate the importance of WSH programme compliance to team members of other departments.
 
- Determine data collection and analysis requirements to measure WSH performance.
 
- Develop Risk Management (RM) plans for respective work processes and work areas.
 
- Develop WSH performance criteria and targets in collaboration with team members.
 
- Develop WSH programme initiatives to promote compliance with WSH procedures.
 
- Develop Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) procedures in collaboration with team members.
 
- Establish RM and Risk Assessment (RA) teams within respective work processes and work areas.
 
- Facilitate the implementation of the WSH policy through application of WSH procedures.
 
- Maintain Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) processes.
 
- Manage incident and accident investigations, data analysis and reporting.
 
- Optimise utilisation of resources.
 
- Organise reviews and collect stakeholder feedback on the EPRP.
 
- Plan WSH compliance inspections and routine checks.
 
- Provide suggestions for tweaks to business processes and operations to support change management initiatives.
 
- Recommend improvements to the EPRP.
 
- Set up WSH programme steering and working committees.
 
- Suggest areas of technical and business management training development.
 
Requirements
- Min Diploma in Health, Safety and Environmental or Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (Level C).
 
- MOM-registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).
 
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience as a WSHO.
 
- Familiar with local regulatory requirements related to WSH.
 
- Excellent interpersonal and good people management skills.
 
- Self-motivated, strong ability to exercise initiative, multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
 
- Ability to plan and execute safety promotion events and activities.
 
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
 
- Possess good written and oral communication skills.
 
- Qualification in ECO (SCS) and FSM are added advantage.
 
- Willing to work in the West.
