A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Environmental Control Officer to assist in implementing safety standards. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and necessary certifications. This role involves monitoring work sites, conducting audits, and fostering a strong safety culture. Qualifications

• MOM-registered WSH Coordinator and NEA-registered Environmental Control Officer certifications are mandatory.

Job description

• Location: Location: Tampines / Woodlands (This position will be based at the project site and will require travel between the two locations as needed.)
• Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon to Fri: 8am to 5:30pm, Sat: 8am to 12:00pm)
• Willingness to commit to extended hours and Shift Work

Job Description:

• Assist in the implementation, review, and continuous improvement of the company’s Integrated Management System.
• Monitor and inspect work sites to ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and ISO standards.
• Conduct regular site safety audits, toolbox meetings, and promotional programs to foster a strong safety culture.
• Investigate all safety incidents, prepare reports, and propose corrective actions for management review.
• Ensure all safety-related certifications, permits, and documentation are up to date and maintained.
• Coordinate and participate in risk assessments and ensure bridging documentation meets project specifications.
• Recommend and apply reasonably practicable control measures for all identified EHS risks.Any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in an environmental control or environmental management role, preferably in the semiconductor industry
• Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• MOM-registered WSH Coordinator and NEA-registered Environmental Control Officer certifications are mandatory
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction or high-tech facility environments (e.g., semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data centers)
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, WSH Act, and other applicable regulations
• Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment
