Job Description & Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Workday Consultant with strong expertise in Workday Financials to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and deploying Workday Finance solutions to meet business needs. You will collaborate closely with Finance, HR, and IT teams to optimize Workday processes and ensure seamless system functionality across financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday Financials modules (e.g., Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, Financial Reporting, etc.).
- Work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and translate business needs into Workday solutions.
- Configure Workday Financials components including Business Processes, Security, Reports, and Integrations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Payroll, IT) to ensure end-to-end business process alignment.
- Conduct testing (unit, system, regression, UAT) and assist with data conversion and validation activities.
- Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards using Workday Reporting tools and Workday Prism Analytics.
- Support post-implementation activities such as issue resolution, enhancement requests, and release management.
- Stay current with Workday releases and recommend new features or process improvements.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to business users and internal support teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Workday Functional Consultant, specializing in Workday Financials.
- Proven experience with one or more of the following Workday Finance modules:
- Core Financials (Accounting & Finance)
- Accounts Payable / Receivable
- Procurement
- Expenses
- Projects / Grants Management
- Financial Reporting & Analytics
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and enterprise system integrations.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.
