Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage group consolidation for subsidiary ensuring accurate and timely financial consolidation.
• Oversee financial reporting, including quarterly reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Handle GST filings and tax compliance matters in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate and liaise with internal departments on Work-in-Progress (WIP) matters to ensure accurate project costing and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties on statutory filings, audits, and tax matters.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 for day-to-day accounting and reporting activities.
• Leverage Jet Reports to automate reporting processes from Business Central into financial statements.
• Ensure strong internal controls, accounting accuracy, and process improvements.
• Support ad hoc finance projects and ensure alignment with company goals and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification.
• At least 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in group consolidation, financial reporting, and tax matters.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Experience with Jet Reports is an added advantage.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with WIP accounting.
• Background in the engineering or construction industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage cross-functional collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial controls.
