Job summary

A leading wildlife management company in Singapore is seeking a Wildlife Research Assistant (Ad-Hoc) to assist in various ecological and wildlife consultancy tasks. Responsibilities include field surveys, data analysis, and protocol development. Ideal candidates should be pursuing a diploma or degree in relevant disciplines. This position offers an hourly wage of $10-$15 based on assignments.

Qualifications

  • Minimally Diploma or ongoing undergraduate study (second year students preferred) in relevant disciplines.
  • Experience with avian identification would be preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Field surveys and wildlife identification.
  • Data collation and analysis.
  • Literature review and report writing.
  • Wildlife carcass dissection and autopsy.
  • Protocol development of the above processes.
  • Experimental design and execution.

Overview

Looking for a Wildlife Research Assistant (Ad-Hoc) to join us!

Mastermark is Singapore’s leading bird and wildlife management company, striving to provide innovative solutions through end-to-end services and products to help manage human-wildlife conflicts locally and abroad. You will be assisting the wildlife consultancy department in their day-to-day responsibilities, including airport wildlife consultancy services and environmental monitoring and management programmes.

Responsibilities
  • Field surveys and wildlife identification
  • Data collation and analysis
  • Literature review and report writing
  • Wildlife carcass dissection and autopsy
  • Protocol development of the above processes
  • Experimental design and execution – such as manipulating environmental variables and assessing their impact on wildlife community composition, behaviour, etc.
Qualifications
  • Minimally Diploma or ongoing undergraduate study (second year students preferred) in Life Sciences, Ecology, Environmental Management or related disciplines
  • Experience with avian identification would be preferable
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and QGIS will be an added advantage
Compensation

As this is a ad-hoc position, you will be paid hourly ($10-$15 per hour) and/or on per assignment basis.
