Job summary

A wildlife management company in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Wildlife Rescue Officer. The role involves responding to wildlife rescue calls, handling, and transporting animals. About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wildlife Rescue Officer to join our operations team. This role involves responding to wildlife rescue activations, safely handling and transporting animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wildlife Trapping and Handling: Safely trap, handle, and relocate wild animals such as reptiles, birds, and small mammals (training provided).
  • Animal Transportation and Removal: Carry out humane animal removal and transportation in accordance with safety and welfare standards.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to wildlife rescue calls via the designated hotline, ensuring timely and appropriate action.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of rescue cases, transport logs, and related administrative work.
  • Coordination and Liaison: Work closely with relevant authorities and partners to facilitate safe animal transfers or releases.
  • Shift and Standby Duties: Perform shift work (including afternoons, nights, weekends, and public holidays) and be on standby for emergency activations.
  • Wildlife Rescue Centre Support: Assist in daily operations, equipment maintenance, and other assigned duties at the rescue centre.
Job Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in domestic or wild animal handling preferred (training provided for suitable candidates).
  • Possess a valid Class 3 driver’s licence with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and handling various animal species (e.g. tortoises, turtles, lizards, snakes, mammals, and boars).
  • Willing to work shifts (afternoon and night), weekends, and public holidays.
  • Basic proficiency in English; able to communicate clearly via WhatsApp and phone for coordination.
  • Confident, calm, and professional when handling animals and engaging with the public.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience in welding or using hand tools will be an added advantage.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about wildlife rescue and conservation work.
