Job description
Wildlife Ecologist / Senior Wildlife Ecologist

We are looking for a passionate and driven Aviation Wildlife Consultant to join our Singapore headquarters, home to Southeast Asia’s largest wildlife management team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in developing innovative solutions to reduce human–wildlife conflicts at airports and beyond.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in ecology or zoology to real-world challenges with a meaningful impact on aviation safety, biodiversity, and sustainable development. Experience in training or capacity-building will be a strong advantage, as you’ll collaborate with and guide partners across both government and private sectors.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of projects spanning airport wildlife management and environmental initiatives, working not only locally but across different countries in the region. If you’re looking for a career that focuses on the practical application of ecology on an international stage—this is the role for you.

As part of our team of Wildlife Ecologists, you will contribute to a diverse range of projects focused on wildlife management in aerodromes and urban environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting biodiversity surveys and fieldwork.
  • Performing lab-based analyses.
  • Preparing technical reports and documentation.
  • Applying ecological modelling to support management decisions.
  • Managing projects primarily focused on birds, but potentially covering other taxa.
  • Supporting environmental monitoring, management, and advisory programmes.
  • Collaborating with government and private partners, with opportunities for overseas travel.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Zoology, Biology or a related field is required. Advanced qualifications such as a Master’s or PhD are highly regarded and will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to deliver impactful training sessions to international audiences.
  • Proficiency in Excel and GIS software for collecting, managing and analysing fieldwork datasets.
  • Keen interest in nature and wildlife, enjoys outdoor field work and interacting with people.
  • Good interpersonal and writing skills, organization and time management skills (for a fast-paced environment).
  • A self-starter and resourceful multitasker.
  • Willing to work outside regular office hours for fieldwork.
  • Willing to travel overseas for work.
  • A driving license & familiarity with Southeast Asian fauna (especially avian) would be advantageous.
