World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Singapore invites a Data Analyst Intern for Forest and Wildlife Conservation. This six-month, paid internship in a hybrid setup focuses on local wildlife data management and analysis, including camera-trap data, dashboards, and reporting.

You will assist the Conservation department with data processing, literature reviews, project development, implementation, and monitoring, with exposure to regional programmes across Southeast Asia within WWF's global network.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate, master student or recent graduate in environmental sciences, life sciences, geography, biodiversity conservation or relevant field.
  • Strong interest and understanding of terrestrial wildlife and landscape conservation, ecological research and project management.
  • Prior experience working with camera traps is a plus.
  • Knowledge identifying local fauna.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Familiarity with basic data analysis tools (Excel, R, GIS tool) and willing to learn.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work independently while having a collaborative spirit.
  • Advanced written and verbal English skills, along with the maturity to work in a global, multi-cultural environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to work on other projects as needed.
  • Passionate about conservation and driving real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility (75%): Local Projects Data Analysis.
  • Focus projects will be on a Wildlife Connectivity pilot (camera trap study).
  • Lead the data analysis to detect patterns in wildlife presence and activity.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of processed data (observation dashboard).
  • Conduct literature reviews from intranet, websites, research or reports from various sources.
  • Support and join field activities when required.
  • Liaise with project partners and volunteers.
  • Support drafting a final pilot report.
  • General project and programme logistical support.
  • Secondary responsibility (25%): Support the forest and wildlife regional portfolio.
  • Review progress reports (activities and budgets).
  • Prepare briefing decks, meeting notes, and follow-up communications.
  • Maintain dashboards and documentation for internal reporting.
  • Support donor reporting fact-checking for regional projects.
  • Compile project information and impact metrics.
  • Support development of communication content for terrestrial projects/topics.
