Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore seeks a QC Laboratory Supervisor responsible for overseeing laboratory assistants and ensuring the quality and reliability of testing procedures. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in a chemical related field and at least 5 years of experience in laboratory testing, particularly in wet chemistry. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in Laboratory Testing (Wet Chemistry).
• Ability to supervise and lead a team of Laboratory Assistants.
• Good understanding of laboratory equipment such as GC, AAS, Auto-titrator, NIR etc.
• Experience of Manual Testing. Automated testing is not suitable for this role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of a team of Laboratory Assistants.
• Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure effective resource use.
• Assist QC Manager in classification of final products.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and investigating quality issues.
• Monitor in-process samples and liaise with production teams.
• Prepare activity and progression reports.
• Monitor the performance of staff, equipment, and processes.
• Prepare quality and budget reports.
• Train all lab assistants and shift technicians.
• Supervise and coach team members.
• Support QC department functions onsite and off-site.

QC Laboratory Supervisor [ Manual Testing ]

• Working hours: 8 am to 4.30 pm (Mon-Fri)
• Work location: Jurong Island (Transport provided at Jurong East)
• Salary: $4000 - $5200 + $200 site allowance + AWS + VB + 15 Days AL

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day‑to‑day activities of a team of Laboratory Assistants who check, test, and inspect raw material, goods in process and finished products.
• Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that team’s resources are used effectively, and that work schedules and targets are met.
• Assists QC Manager in classification of final product and reworked lots.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and investigating quality issues, implement improvement from Analysis gap study.
• Monitor in‑process samples, liaise with production teams for preventive & corrective actions.
• Prepare activity and progression reports so recurring problems, either with the quality of the product or the reliability of testing procedures, can be identified and addressed.
• Monitor the performance of staff, equipment and laboratory processes to ensure quality control system effectiveness and efficiency.
• Preparation of quality and budget reports and updates.
• Training of all lab assistants and shift technicians assigned to laboratory work.
• Supervise and coach team members.
• Supports QC department functions onsite and off‑site as necessary.
