A popular local cafe in Singapore seeks an experienced chef to prepare and cook Western dishes. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in a quick-service environment, capable of working under pressure, and a team player. Responsibilities include ensuring food quality and hygiene, managing stock levels, and supporting menu planning.
Prepare and cook Western dishes (e.g. pastas, grilled items, all‑day breakfast, burgers, etc.)
Ensure fast and consistent food preparation suitable for a quick‑service environment
Manage food quality, portioning, and presentation
Oversee kitchen hygiene and food safety compliance (SFA/NEA)
Monitor stock levels, food cost and wastage
Support menu planning and supervise kitchen helpers
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Western or quick‑service F&B environment
Strong skills in grilling, sauces and plating
Able to work independently and handle high order volume
Team player with good communication skills
Willing to work 6 days/week, including weekends and public holidays (rotational rest day)
