HSBC Wealth Management leads the Asia‑Pacific implementation of our global strategy to deliver world‑class solutions to retail and private clients seeking to grow, protect, preserve or transfer their wealth. This involves the development and management of needs‑based solutions covering foreign exchange, deposit, investment, insurance and financing products, as well as the provision of suitable market insights and updates, financial planning and advisory services.

We are currently seeking a high‑calibre professional to join our team as a Wealth Sales Team Head, Offshore Banking.

In this role you will:
  • Demonstrate strong ability to lead the team to self‑source, develop new business by actively prospecting for new clients and referrals, and leveraging your existing network to generate New to Bank leads.
  • Lead, develop and manage a team of Relationship Managers managing our premier clients to ensure achievement of the business objectives, passionate to coach and guide the team.
  • Focus on nurturing and activating team's portfolio of clients to fund up to Premier Balance, thereby making referrals to Core RM teams.
  • Educate the team to drive clients to adopt a Digital First approach with focus on minimizing in‑branch activities while encouraging customers to transition to digital and remote channels (for low‑value activities).
  • Perform continuous portfolio analysis to identify potential client leads and opportunities.
  • Be detailed, meticulous and precise in identifying opportunities and gaps and craft quick business strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Work closely with other members of the Wealth Management team, such as investment, insurance, treasury specialists to provide holistic solutions to our onshore banking premier clients.
  • Constantly inspect what we expect on team's deliverables on a regular basis.
To be successful you will need:
  • Strong academic qualifications and in‑depth knowledge in Wealth Management with a proven track record of leading a team.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills to work individually as well as to collaborate with stakeholders to meet overall team objectives.
  • Highly driven and able to succeed within a challenging environment.
  • Outgoing disposition, well‑equipped with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Down‑to‑earth and resilient individual with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset who can work both independently and within a strong team environment.
  • Highly driven to excel and to thrive within a challenging environment by effectively recognising customers' personal banking and wealth management needs.

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactory pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
