Job Responsibilities
- Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom.
- Receive, unload, and shelve supplies.
- Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to accounting for reimbursements and record-keeping.
- Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses.
- Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
- Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness.
- Comply with all regulations and oversee warehousing and storage requirements.
- Foster cooperation and understanding among personnel, and provide guidance and leadership to store staff.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or cold room environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and record-keeping.
- Experience in managing inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials or products.
- Proficient in maintaining receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and the ability to maintain a safe work environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software (optional but beneficial).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a cooperative and positive attitude.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed, based on business requirements.
