Job Description:
1. Inventory Control & Management
- Stock Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock counts and ensuring that all incoming and outgoing materials are properly recorded.
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts, ensuring that stock levels are aligned with operational needs.
- Material Handling: Ensure proper handling and storage of materials, reducing damage and improving accessibility.
- Barcode/Tracking Systems: Utilize barcode scanners, RFID, or other inventory management systems to track and manage inventory effectively.
- Reorder and Stock Restocking: Manage the reordering process to ensure that critical materials are always available and monitor supply levels to prevent delays in operations.
2. Warehouse Organization & Safety Compliance
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Ensure that materials are easy to locate, safely stored, and stored in compliance with safety regulations.
- Compliance with HSE Standards: Ensure that all materials are stored in accordance with HSE regulations, following proper safety and handling guidelines, particularly for hazardous, oversized, or sensitive items.
- Safety Protocols: Enforce warehouse safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe material handling practices.
- QHSE Standards: Ensure full compliance with QHSE policies, including health and safety regulations, environmental protection standards, and quality control.
- Incident Reporting: Immediately report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the Warehouse Manager or Senior Operations Executive and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
3. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Inventory Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock movements (goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, etc.), ensuring they are filed and accessible.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for inventory transactions, including delivery notes, purchase orders, and material requisition forms.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly inventory and warehouse reports for management, highlighting stock levels, discrepancies, and any issues.
- Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation when requested.
4. Warehouse Equipment & Forklift Operations
- Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Maintenance of Equipment: Ensure the proper maintenance and regular inspection of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Training: Assist in training new warehouse staff on equipment operation, safety protocols, and inventory management systems.
5. Team Collaboration & Communication
- Collaboration with Team: Work closely with warehouse staff and other departments (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Procurement) to ensure smooth material flow and timely deliveries.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors to coordinate stock movements, deliveries, and supply chain operations.
Requirements:
- O-Level or Equivalent
- Forklift operation certification and experience are mandatory.
- QHSE awareness and knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on inventory management, material handling, and safety protocols.
- Experience working in logistics, warehousing, or related industries.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS) and warehouse management software.
- Inventory Management: Strong knowledge of inventory control and stock management techniques.
- Forklift Operation: Skilled in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Safety Compliance: In-depth understanding of QHSE policies and procedures, with experience ensuring compliance in a warehouse setting.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail when handling stock, documentation, and safety practices.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain an orderly warehouse environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify problems with inventory or equipment and resolve issues promptly.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders.
