A Warehouse Manager oversees the efficient receipt, storage,and dispatch of a wide variety of products. This role involves managing warehouse staff, ensuring safety standards are met, and optimizing warehouse operations to achieve productivity targets.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Audit and reportinventory, making recommendations on which items to order and restock.
- Team Leadership: Manage warehouse associates,monitor work, and ensure the safe use of warehouse equipment. Conduct regularperformance evaluations and gather feedback from warehouse work team.
- Operational Efficiency: Establish warehousepractices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse. Ensure smoothoperations of the warehouse workforce and follow closely on all deadlines.
- Goal Setting: Set warehouse and team goals incollaboration with executive management and other team leads. Monitor the KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs) of the warehouse.
- Training: Monitor workplaceperformance and lead training initiatives to improve employees' skills.
- Safety Compliance: Keep up-to-date on the latestsafety regulations. Adhere to all safety protocols and be compliance to allSafety Acts.
- Coordination: Communicate with other departmentsto ensure products are shipped in a timely manner. Collaborate closely withinternal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma in logistics, supply chain management is preferred.
- Experience: Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.
- Skills: Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases (WMS).
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage staff effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
