Warehouse Manager

Overview:
We are undergoing a major transformation into a digitally enabled warehouse: Moving from manual processes into a system-driven, highly visible, real-time logistics environment. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible not only for day-to-day warehouse operations, but also for leading and enforcing digital adoption, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and seamless coordination across E-commerce, Wholesale, Retail Deliveries, and Packing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control
- Oversee daily inbound and outbound operations across E-commerce orders, Wholesale shipments, Retail store replenishments, and internal transfers.
- Ensure accurate receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch using both manual and digital systems.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts, monthly reconciliations, and real-time stock adjustments to minimise discrepancies.
- Maintain optimal warehouse layout, racking logic, and storage optimisation for fast-moving SKUs.
2. Digital Warehouse Transformation Leadership
- Lead the shift towards a fully digitized warehouse, including:
Implementation and enforcement of OCR-based stock receiving,
Adoption of barcode scanning for pick/pack,
Utilisation of digital dashboards for stock visibility,
Enforcing proper use of the company’s inventory management system (IMS/WMS). - Train all warehouse staff in digital tools and create SOPs for new workflows.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and propose digital or process-based solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy across all systems and dashboards (inbound, outbound, returns, shrinkage).
3. E-Commerce Fulfilment Management
- Oversee daily order fulfilment, ensuring speed, accuracy, and packaging quality.
- Build SOPs for peak periods (11.11, 12.12, Black Friday, CNY) ensuring capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Track and optimise same-day processing rates, cut-off times, and courier handover accuracy.
4. Wholesale & B2B Shipments
- Manage bulk order picking, palletisation, carton labelling, and documentation (invoices, packing lists, delivery orders).
- Coordinate shipments for local delivery, international export, and forwarder pickups.
- Ensure wholesale orders comply with retailer requirements (barcode placement, carton specs, ASN requirements, etc.).
5. Retail Store Replenishments
- Coordinate daily/weekly stock drops to retail stores.
- Ensure accurate movement records and avoid store-level stock discrepancies.
- Plan delivery routes, schedules, and safe handling of inventory.
6. Packing Operations & Quality Control
- Ensure all packing follows brand standards for brands.
- Conduct QC checks for damaged items, wrongly packed orders, and packaging standards.
- Implement corrective actions for recurring errors and defective inventory.
7. Returns, Exchanges & Warranty Items
- Manage inbound returns from e-commerce and retail stores.
- Check product condition, re-stock, rework, or dispose according to SOP.
- Maintain precise digital logs of return reasons and condition.
8. Leadership & Workforce Management
- Supervise warehouse assistants, packers, drivers, and part-timers.
- Plan shift schedules, allocate manpower, and evaluate staff performance.
- Train staff on new digital tools, handling procedures, safety, and SOP compliance.
9. Safety, Compliance & Maintenance
- Ensure workplace safety, equipment maintenance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Enforce safe handling of inventory and maintain a clean, organised warehouse environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management.
- Strong understanding of inventory systems, scanning equipment, and digital workflow tools.
- Experience managing E-commerce fulfilment and B2B shipments.
- Ability to lead operational transformation and train a team through change.
- Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit to handle warehouse demands when needed.
