Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all warehouse operations, including storing, picking, packing and delivering of organic fresh produce
- Utilize warehouse management systems and other software to track inventory and performance
- Assist in the investigation of any discrepancies or damages and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely delivery
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment in compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
- Perform other duties as assisgned by the Warehouse Manger
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably within the fresh procedure or food industry
- Class 3 Licenses needed
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a warehouse setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics
- Knowledge of proper handling and storage requirements for fresh produce, ideally organic
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a food handling environment
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items, and to stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
