Specific Responsibilities
Customer Service & Coordination
- Fulfill customers’ needs and support the smooth execution of warehouse operations.
- Act as the secondary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Attend enquiries via email and telephone from both existing and new customers.
- Ensure the customer service team bills accurately for all warehouse orders.
Operational Management
- Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security within the warehouse environment.
- Formulate a prevention plan to eliminate potential operational accidents.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, resolve operational issues, and ensure SOP compliance.
- Implement and execute projects from new clients.
- Continuously improve operational processes and update SOPs.
- Manage manpower allocation, motivating staff, and fostering teamwork to meet productivity targets and KPIs.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Responsible for tallying monthly inventory and ensuring stock control systems are accurate and up to date.
- Implement and sustain 5S methodologies to ensure a clean and efficient work environment
- Manage warehouse assets, including packing materials, trolleys, and other equipment.
- Manage warehouse operational costs and contribute to cost-control measures.
Staff Supervision & Performance
- Supervise and evaluate warehouse staff performance.
- Lead and oversee staff safety, welfare, and discipline at work.
- Support the Operations Manager in training, coaching, and performance development of team members.
Vendor & Compliance Management
- Manage contractors and suppliers, including quotation evaluation, negotiation, and adherence to ISO requirements.
- Produce regular operational reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Job Specifications/Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 2 to 3 years working experience in warehouse management. Preferably those who have held middle management positions and worked in 3rd party Logistics settings.
- Proven experience in improving warehouse operation namely: productivity, inventory, accuracy, etc.
- Experience in developing SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), and managing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of operation management by piece/unit, quality control, and quality assurance processes.
- Proficient in 5S methodologies and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
