Wall Tiler

specializes in

installing ceramic, porcelain, glass, marble, and stone tiles exclusively on vertical surfaces like walls, splashbacks, and partitions

.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Inspect, clean, and level wall surfaces; remove old tiles or wallpaper, and apply waterproofing membranes or cement backer boards.
• Layout Planning: Measure wall spaces, read design plans, and mark geometric guidelines to ensure patterns are centered and balanced.
• Cutting & Shaping: Use manual rail cutters, wet diamond saws, and tile nippers to precisely cut tiles around switches, sockets, corners, and plumbing fixtures.
• Adhesive Application: Mix and spread the correct type of tile mortar or adhesive onto walls using a notched trowel.
• Tile Installation: Set tiles firmly into the adhesive, using plastic spacers to maintain uniform joint widths and spirit levels to ensure flat vertical alignment.
• Grouting & Sealing: Apply grout to fill the joints between tiles, sponge away the excess, and apply silicone sealant along internal corners and basins.

• Technical Skills: High precision in measuring, cutting, and handling fragile materials like glass or polished stone.
