GIC is seeking a seasoned VP-level leader for Windows & Private Cloud Operations within the Technology Group in Singapore. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 10+ years of enterprise Windows Server infrastructure with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading large-scale Windows Server upgrades and migrations.
• Deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, SCCM, SCOM, VMware, Citrix, and PowerShell.
• Strong experience in ITSM, change governance, and outsourcing management.
• Familiarity with CIS/NIST security frameworks and cloud (AWS/Azure) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead Windows & Private Cloud operations, defining technical standards, roadmaps, and platform strategy.
• Serve as the senior L3 escalation point for complex incidents and problem management.
• Own enterprise platforms including Windows Server, AD, Entra ID, PKI, SCCM/ MECM, SCOM, VMware, Nutanix/vSAN, Citrix, and related services.
• Lead Windows Server lifecycle management, upgrades, and migration programmes.
• Direct the outsourced L2 service provider with runbooks, training, and service quality expectations.
• Govern ITSM processes, changes, KPIs, and service performance.
• Drive patching, backup, disaster recovery, vulnerability remediation, and resilience.
• Define identity and privileged access security standards in partnership with Cybersecurity and Audit teams.
• Promote automation using PowerShell and Ansible and evaluate new technologies.
• Mentor and develop the team while coordinating with stakeholders across infra.

What impact can you make in this role?

We are seeking an experienced Windows & Private Cloud Operations Lead to provide technical and operational leadership for our Windows Server and private cloud platforms. This is a senior hands‑on Level 3 role responsible for setting technical direction, driving platform reliability and modernisation, and serving as the highest escalation point for the outsourced Level 2 operations team. The role leads a team supported by an AVP and oversees core enterprise infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, hybrid identity, PKI, VMware private cloud, Citrix, and related technologies. Responsibilities include lifecycle management, major upgrades and migrations, operational governance, resilience, security, automation, and continuous service improvement within a regulated financial environment. The position carries accountability for major incidents, on‑call support, and after‑hours maintenance oversight.

What will you do as a VP, Windows & Private Cloud Operations?

• Lead Windows & Private Cloud operations, defining technical standards, operational roadmaps, and platform strategy.
• Serve as the senior L3 escalation point for complex incidents and problem management.
• Own enterprise platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, SCCM/MECM, SCOM, VMware, Nutanix/vSAN, Citrix, Failover Clustering, and secure file transfer services.
• Lead Windows Server lifecycle management, upgrades, and migration programmes.
• Direct the outsourced L2 service provider by establishing operational standards, runbooks, knowledge transfer, and service quality expectations.
• Govern ITSM processes, change management, operational KPIs, and service performance.
• Drive patching, backup, disaster recovery, vulnerability remediation, and platform resilience.
• Define identity, privileged access, and Windows security standards in partnership with Cybersecurity and Audit teams.
• Promote automation using PowerShell and Ansible while evaluating new technologies and contributing to infrastructure strategy.
• Mentor and develop the team while collaborating with application, network, security, and infrastructure stakeholders.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 10+ years' experience in enterprise Windows Server infrastructure with significant leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading large‑scale Windows Server upgrades and migration programmes.
• Deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, SCCM, SCOM, Failover Clustering, VMware, Nutanix/vSAN, Citrix, and PowerShell.
• Strong experience in backup, disaster recovery, ITSM, ServiceNow, change governance, and operational excellence.
• Experience managing outsourced or managed service providers and acting as the senior technical escalation point.
• Familiarity with automation (Ansible/PowerShell), CIS/NIST security frameworks, and public cloud (AWS/Azure) is advantageous.
